Cookie Policy
Last updated: January 2026 · tarim.info
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies tarim.info uses, and how you can control them. For broader privacy information, see the Privacy Policy.
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies are necessary for the basic functioning of this website. They do not track your activity for any purpose other than maintaining a functional session. These cookies cannot be disabled without affecting core site functionality.
Stores your cookie consent preference (accepted, partial, or functional only). Expires after 12 months. First-party cookie set by tarim.info. No personal data stored beyond the consent choice itself.
Analytics Cookies
If you accept analytics cookies, anonymised usage data is collected to help understand how readers engage with content. This data is used solely to improve the organisation and relevance of the archive. Analytics cookies are not set unless you explicitly accept them via the cookie banner or Cookie Settings panel.
The data collected includes: pages visited, approximate session duration, device category (mobile, desktop, handheld device), country of origin (no city-level data), and the page from which you arrived (referrer). No individual user profiles are created. No data is linked to any personally identifying information.
Analytics cookies are retained for a maximum of 12 months before automatic expiry.
Third-Party Cookies
The contact page on this site includes an embedded Google Maps iframe. When this iframe loads, Google may set its own cookies on your device in accordance with Google's privacy and cookie policies. Tarim does not control the cookies set by Google and cannot access their content.
If you wish to prevent Google Maps cookies from being set, you can disable JavaScript for the tarim.info domain in your browser settings. This will prevent the map from loading.
No other third-party cookies are intentionally set by this website. CDN-served assets (fonts, libraries) may involve browser connections to third-party servers but do not set persistent cookies.
Managing Your Consent
When you first visit tarim.info, a cookie consent banner is presented at the bottom of the page. You have three options:
- Accept All — enables functional and analytics cookies
- Accept Partial — enables functional cookies and a reduced analytics set (session-level only, no cross-session tracking)
- Functional Only — enables only the strictly necessary cookie that stores your preference; no analytics data is collected
You can change your preference at any time by using the Cookie Settings link in the site footer. Your preference is stored in a first-party cookie that expires after 12 months, at which point the banner will reappear.
Browser-Level Opt-Out
In addition to managing preferences through the cookie banner, you can block or delete cookies at the browser level. The following links provide instructions for major browsers:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Apple Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

Note that blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of some website features, including the cookie consent preference storage.
